Making ‘The Lost Boys’ fly
The choreographers have earned a Tony Award nomination for their work on the Broadway show “The Lost Boys.” It’s based on the 1987 cult film that features effortlessly cool Californian vampires — and in my opinion, an even cooler soundtrack. Husband-and-wife team Lauren Yalango-Grant and Christopher “Cree” Grant had to make the vampires not just fly, but fight and hang upside-down, 60 feet off the stage — all while making it look effortless, and keeping the performers safe. They described the process as a real-life game of Tetris. Watch how they did it.
