REUTERS/Maria Alejandra Cardona California wildfires Wildfires menacing Los Angeles have killed at least 10 people and devoured nearly 10,000 structures, with five fires burning into a third night as dry desert winds fanning the flames again gathered strength. In Pacific Palisades, where film stars and other celebrities lost their homes, the fire may spell an end to cheap homeowners insurance. Far from Hollywood's wealth, fire survivors feel forgotten. Reuters photographers who have covered multiple wildfires say they have never witnessed anything like the scale of this week's destruction. They recount their experiences here.
